Join us as we make 8 Brand New card templates (numbers 49 through 56). Each template will be attached to a 6x6 page that includes all information on the back: Sizes of cardstock, color combination used, as well as any embellishments or accessories used. Bring Scissors and Adhesive. RSVP, Class size is limited. Note: No picture available for these yet.

Four Seasons Word-Art Class (12x12)

Date: Sunday, January 29th, 1:00-approx. 4:30pm

Cost of Class: $60 (Black Shadowbox Frame optional for $15 additional, prepaid)

Join us as we create all Four Seasons in 12x12" frameable word art. (See pictures above) We'll use LOTS of products- Designer Series Papers, embellishments, punches, ribbons, embossing (both heat and dry)- to create these unique pages. Everything will be cut and prepped and ready for you to stamp, embellish and assemble! Bring scissors and your favorite adhesives with you to class. RSVP, class size is limited.

Believe Frame- Morning Class added!

Ladies- Due to the overwhelming response to the Believe Frame class, I've decided to go ahead and offer a few more kits / spaces in class. I'm also going to offer the class on Friday morning as well as Friday evening.

Emails have been sent to any of you that normally attend morning sessions and are already signed up for class. If you want to switch, awesome!... just shoot me back an email. If not, that's fine too :)

As of right now, the Evening class IS full, but I may have other spaces open up if anyone switches to the morning class. I'm starting a waiting list, so please let me know if I need to add your name.

I still have a couple of spaces in the morning class, and I have several kits available. See previous post for photo and more information including the items you'll need to bring with you to class.

Here are the updated class times (both on December 2nd):

Believe Frame Class

Believe Frame Class (12x12)

Date: Friday Evening, December 2nd

Time: 7:00 to approx. 9:30pm

Cost of Class: $35 (prepaid if possible) including frame, or $20 if you provide your own shadowbox frame.

We'll Die-cut, Emboss, Stamp, Punch and embellish the word Believe, add it to some fantastic Designer Series Papers and create this beautiful frame that spells out the word. There's even a beautiful, 3D scalloped flower! This is a 12" Square Shadowbox frame. Please bring basic supplies to class with you: Scissors, your favorite adhesives, paper piercer and mat. This class has limited space. Currently there are 6 spaces available to fill the class. RSVP by emailing me at terri.meehan@columbus.rr.com or calling me at 614.777.9288. Please leave a message if I'm not home.

I will have at least 2 class kits available for purchase at a price of $45, including frame, or $30 without. Note: you will receive everything you need (minus adhesive, scissors and paper piercing tools) to complete your frame at home, including a file of pictures and basic instructions that will be EMAILED to you. Everything in the kits will be stamped, punched, embossed, inked, etc.

Template 6 was based on this darling card that I received in a swap last year at the Stampin' Up! Baltimore Regionals. Regionals are like little mini conferences that Stampin' Up! hosts in various places throughout the country. They're just another little perk of being a Stampin' Up!

Terri's Christmas Card Mega Classes 2011!

Note: Please forgive the formatting! No matter how hard I try, Blogger always has a mind of it's own!

Have you always wanted to Hand-Stamp your own Christmas Cards but dread the designing and prepping that have to be done before all the FUN of Stamping them? This year, let me do the work for you!

All you need to do is

1) Choose the cards you'd like to make from the options listed below. All cards are made in sets of 10, and prices listed are per set. Envelopes are included! You can choose 1 set, or as many as you need. They can all be the same or you can choose to do a variety. It's up to you!

2) Register and Prepay for your cards early. Payment holds your space in the session of your choice. Each session is limited to 8 participants so that you'll have plenty of space and I'm available to answer questions. Because each session is limited, I'll only be able to accept registrations WITH payments. Remember, if you have a group or 2 or more, doing at least 10 Total sets of cards, I can schedule a private session for you.

3) Show up for your session ready for an enjoyable afternoon, armed with scissors and plenty of adhesive. Many of these cards have multiple layers so it's important to bring refills of your favorite adhesives so you can get as much done as possible. Come and go as you please, anytime during the hours listed!

I'll provide soft drinks, coffee, water and light snacks for you!

Here are the 2011 Options:

Card #1 - Christmas Stockings - Cost: $10 / set of 10

This card features textures, backgrounds and stockings that are stamped and then PUNCHED out! You'll hang 'em on the mantle with Mini Brads and I'll even show you how to easily put a fire in the fireplace!

Card #2 - Dasher - Cost: $12.00 / set of 10

Sweet and simple, this card features several layers, making the focal image appear embossed. Rudolph's shiny red nose is glowing to light the way for Santa's Sleigh, and we'll top it off with some fun dry embossing and a beautiful length of Satin Ribbon in Real Red.

#3 - Pretty in Pink Snowman - Cost: $12.00 / set of 10

This card features contemporary colors, beautiful dry embossing, Dazzling Details and quick coloring. Then we'll finish it off with some sparkling Rhinestone Jewels!

This card features one of my favorite new In-Colors; Pool Party, in a contemporary color combination. Beautiful Dry Embossing, Dazzling Details, quick coloring and some bling (Rhinestone Jewels) finish this cute little card.

Card #5 - Poppy Parade Snowman - Cost: $12.00 / set of 10

Bright and Cheery, this card features Poppy Parade! You'll add dry embossing, Dazzling Details, quick coloring, and some bling (Rhinestone Jewels) to finish it off!

Card #6 - Concord/Wisteria King - Cost: $13.00 / set of 10
This card has so many beautiful little details, it's hard to know where to begin! It features a contemporary color combination: Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder, dry embossing, border punching, TWO different types of ribbon and Pearl Jewels. You can also choose to use the 'Joy' stamp seen below as an alternative to the 'Let Earth Receive Her King' stamp shown.

Another beautiful card, similar to the one above. This one features a Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizazz color combination. You can choose to use the 'Let Earth Receive Her King' stamp shown above, instead of 'Joy' if you'd like.

Simple and Elegant! This is a Monochromatic card featuring Cherry Cobbler ink, ribbon and paper. The sweet little bird is also stamped on the inside. This is one of my husband's favorites because it's so traditional!

And, here is my husband's other favorite. Another elegant card that incorporates a traditional color combination, beautiful Pewter Embossed Image, a punched border, and Rhinestone Jewels. ===========================================

This card features a beautiful combination of colors: Night of Navy and Wisteria Wonder. Similar to the card above, it also features dry embossing, Pewter Embossed Sentiment (other phrases are available, including the Merry Christmas from Card #10), punched border and Rhinestone Jewels.

The Christmas Cards are coming!

Just wanted to update you all on my upcoming Christmas Card Workshops. I've got all of the samples completed. Over the next day or so I'll be working on pricing and photographs and will have complete information on the blog at 7am Monday morning. *smile*

New this year, there will be a limit of 8 students per session. This is so that you have a more relaxed, enjoyable time stamping your cards AND also so I'll be more available to help with questions. I've got 3 sessions scheduled, but I'm open to scheduling more if the demand is there. Because of the limited number of spaces available, I have to ask that you pre-pay your cards when you register. Otherwise, I can't promise that I'll be able to hold your spot.

And, If you have a group of 2 or more stampers, doing at least 10 sets of cards total, you might consider scheduling a private session. There's no additional cost and I can accomodate most schedules.

I hope you like the cards as much as I do! I had so much fun with the designs. There's even a design that can accomodate a wallet sized photo on the front (either vertical OR horizontal!).

Well, I've got to get going, there's still lots of work for me to do!

Good Morning! These cards are examples from Template 7...

The first image is a card that I received while swapping at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership seminar in Nashville, TN last January. Isn't it cute? I'd love to give credit to the original creator, but she didn't sign the card :( Colors used were Early Espresso, Crumb Cake & Rose Red.

The second picture is my take on this template. I used the Fabulous Florets stamp set (I LOVE, love, love this set!) and added a little bit of Old Olive in with the template colors (for the leaves).

Good Morning! Today I've got some pictures to share with you from my upcoming Step Cards Class. The photo at the top shows the cards included in the $18 class. The 'Wicked' card in the second and third photos is optional and costs and additional $3.

Step Cards Class

Dates: Wednesday evening, Sept 28th from 7:00 to approx. 9:00pm

Join us for the Step Cards class and you'll create 4 cards (or 5 with the inclusion of the optional card). These eye-catching cards feature a unique scoring and cutting structure. You'll use techniques such as Shimmer Spray, Watercoloring, Heat Embossing, and Dry Embossing, along with some fun products: Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, new Pewter Embossing Powder, Stampin' Pastels, and new styles of brads! Everything will be cut and prepped and ready for you to Stamp, Embellish, and Assemble. You'll receive 2 Templates, one large, one small, so that you can create Step Cards of your own at home! Envelopes are also included. Please bring scissors and adhesive with you to class. RSVP, class space is limited. And, for those who can't make it to class, Kits are available for an additional $8.

September Cards Class

Here are some quick pictures from this weeks cards class. As usual, my photography does NOT do the cards justice:) Can you even see the googly eyes on Mr. Frog? He's too cute! And the oh, so beautiful Warmest Wishes card was designed by Candy Michaels who graciously insisted that I should use it in class. How could I turn her down? I absolutely LOVE this card! Thanks, Candy :) You'll also get to use one of the new embossing folders, do some watercoloring, masking and learn a fabulously quick and easy way to stamp on split-panels (last card). This is not a class to miss.

I'm down to the last few kits and class spaces available. Please let me know if you'd like to join us!

The inspiration for Card Template 26 comes, again, from the Stampin' Up! 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog, page 128. I stamped mine pretty similar to the card shown, except I used Fabulous Florets and then I used Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso and Pool Party to stamp my images.

Template 25 Card Sample

Good Morning! Thanks to everyone that made it to the Templates class last night and this morning. It was so nice seeing everyone again. I enjoyed my summer vacation, but I really missed all of you. I'll post another tomorrow so be sure to come back!

If you missed the class for Templates 25-32 (or any of the preceding Templates Classes), let me know if you'd like a kit. The kits for this class run $25 and include 8 Card Templates, mounted on 6x6 paper, with all of the sizes and products used listed on the back. They come, back to back, in 4 sheet protectors.

Also- I just wanted to remind everyone that you can ubscribe to the blog by entering your email addrss on the left. Once you do this, you'll receive an email everytime the blog is updated. Since I'm not typically posting every day, this is an easy way for you to keep up to date.

I got the inspiration for Template 25 from page 13 in the Stampin' Up! 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. The colors have been changed to protect the innocent. Ha, ha! Stamp set used is Faith in Nature, from the same page. I stamped it in Black Stazon and then used an Aqua Painter (pg 203) and ink pads (Daffodil Delight, More Mustard, Pear Pizazz, Old Olive, Sahara Sand) to color in. To finish the image I used a Color Spritzer with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I love the little splatters it makes :)

This is the original card that I received from Connie Sue Reitz in a swap last year at the Baltimore, MD Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar.

Notice the orientation is changed and the Scallop Edge Border Punch and Backgrounds 1 (Sizzix Texture Plates) were used on the long mat.

This was my sample from Template 4 (from my April Templates class). I'm posting it even though this sweet little stamp set is no longer available. It's one of the Sale-a-Bration sets from this year called So Happy For You. I hope you were one of the lucky (and by that I mean Smart!) stampers that were able to get this set during SAB because it will never be offered again.

Never fear, though. This template can be used with lots of other stamp sets. I just love how everything is framed with the Tulip Frame Embossing Folder and of course, you can't beat that Bashful Blue, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso color combination :)

May Cards Photos!

These are the cards we'll be making this Wednesday night and Thursday morning in my May Cards Class.

It's hard to tell because I am NOT a great photographer, but there is a lot of shimmer going on here!

We'll be using Smooch Ink and a couple of different kinds of Shimmer Paints (both different techniques).

The Sailboat can be used as a Father's Day card OR I'll have some generic 'Guy-Friendly' phrases available for you to use.

And, How cute are these butterflies? Wait till you see how EASY they are!

Class cost is $18 (it's ok to pay this one at the door) and includes everything you'll need to create 3 each of these 4 cards for a total of 12 cards.

Envelopes are included!

Please bring your favorite adhesives and scissors with you to class.

Happy National Scrapbook Day 2011!

Today is the first National Scrapbook Day, in I don't know how long, that I didn't have to work.

Okay, if you want to get technical, it WAS fun working at a Scrapbooking Store or here doing Stampin' Up! for NSD.

But you get what I'm saying.

So, what am I going to do today?

Well... I'm going to go hang out with some of old scrapbooking buddies.

We're not going to scrapbook but I'm sure that topic will come up at some point.

We just can't seem to get away from it :)

Last week, in my May Digital Studio Class, we started with the sketch of a card.

(I may try to scan that sketch and add it into the post later, but for now I'd like to tell you about the pages shown above.)

The first, a lovely pink page with the sweetest little baby girl, was created by one of the Wednesday evening students, Amy Hartman.

Below that are the pages that I did during each class.

I've asked the students to send me copies of their pages if they want, so you may see more at a later date.

Believe me when I tell you, there wasn't a stinker in the bunch! :)

Our next My Digital Studio Class is scheduled for Wednesday Evening, June 1st and Thursday morning, June 2nd. We'll take a new sketch and re-create it during class. Some people just come to watch and some bring their laptops and follow along. When you purchase your Digital Studio software from me, you'll receive this class FREE for 3 consecutive months. Explosion Box w/ Cake

These cute little boxes are what we made in Sizzix Club this month. Each participant got to make one box with the purchase of the Pop-Up Three Tier Cake Sizzix Die.

They had their choice of Pretty in Pink or Certainly Celery Accent Papers and also their choice of embossing folders.

This is the Pretty in Pink box with Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon.

This is what it looks like when the box lid is lifted. The sides 'explode' open and show off the sweet little cake inside. This one is stamped with the Love & Care (Hostess Level II) Stamp set from the Summer 2011 Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog. We used Pretty in Pink and Pear Pizazz Inks. Notice the sides of the cake are scalloped? I don't like to follow directions so I cut these 1/2" taller than the directions say to, and scalloped the edges with the Scallop Edge Border punch. That way, you don't see any of the raw edges like you would if you followed the directions on the package!

Here it is in more detail. We stamped an extra flower and glued it to the top since we weren't using the candle or bride & groom. Then we added 3 little Rhinestone Jewels to finish it off. Too sweet <3

And here is the same cake, only it's stamped in Real Red and Old Olive instead:

I promised my students I'd post the basic sizes, etc. for the explosion box so here is my version:

Lid: Cut Whisper White CS to 5-7/8" square, and score 7/8" from each side. Use one of your 4x4" squares to cover up ribbon ends on underside of lid.

Ribbon: 12" for Bow, + Two 10-inch pieces for the crisscross on lid.

Box: Take a 12x12" piece of Whisper White CS and score 4" from each edge. Cut out all 4 corner squares (use one of these for the underside of your lid).

Box Sides: 3-7/8 x 3-7/8", you'll need 4 for the outside and 5 for the inside of your box.

Alternative sides for Cake: Cut strips to same length as listed in directions, but instead of cutting them 7/8" tall, cut them to be 1-3/8" tall. Then use the border punch to add decorative border at top.

Good Morning! I've been playing around on the blog and have made some more changes since last night.

All Events and Classes are listed on my Events Calendar for the month of May. I may or may not be posting them in order on the blog from now on so this should be a helpful resource for you.

Butterflies Shadowbox - Home Decor Class
Cost: $35 prepaid / or $65 for Deluxe Kit
Date: SUNDAY afternoon, May 15th from 1:00 to approx. 4:00pm

Join us as we make a beautiful work of art that is perfect for gift giving and even more perfect to just keep for yourself! You can see the picture above, but this is even more stunning in real life. We'll cut and emboss metal butterflies, add Rhinestones, Heat Embossing and Decor Elements to complete each work of art. A basic black shadowbox frame IS included as are all the accessories you'll need AND a 5 page tutorial!

You'll only need to bring a strong adhesive (we don't want your pictures sliding!), scissors and 4 Black and White Photos cropped to 3-3/4" square. Pictures are optional, you can add them later if you'd like.

It includes the base class kit PLUS: a full bottle of Crystal Effects, a package of the Basic Jewels Rhinestones and the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die for the Big Shot. Hello! I've been working on some really fun classes for April. Information is listed below and pictures will be added (if time allows) later on. Also, you'll want to check back on Thursday for an Anniversary Special from me. April 4th, 1998 is the date that I originally signed on to Stampin' Up! Can you believe it? 13 Years! Class: My Digital Studio
Dates: Evening, Wednesday, April 6th from 7:00-9:00pm *OR* Morning, Thursday, April 7th from 10:00am - Noon
Cost: $10 *OR* See below for details on getting this class for FREE!

My Digital Studio is Stampin' Up!'s software program that allows you to create Scrabooks, Scrapbook Pages, Cards and other digital items quickly and easily. The classes will show you how to create using the software. This month I'll go over the basics and show you how to create a couple of Scrapbook Pages and Cards in the process. When you purchase the My Digital Studio software from me, you'll receive the next 3 months of My Digital Studio classes for FREE! RSVP, class size is limited.

Class: Techniques Hostess Club

Dates: Afternoon, Thursday, April 7th from 1:00-2:30pm

*OR* Evening, Thursday, April 8th from 7:00-8:30pm

Cost $10 or FREE with a $25 merchandise purchase during class

This month's techniques are Stained Glass and Rainbow Vellum. Both are vellum techniques. We'll create a 6x6 instruction page for each technique, complete with a sample and we'll also make a card with each technique. Every month we'll highlight two new techniques. Once you complete 6 classes at the $25 level, you'll qualify for Level 1 Hostess Benefits: that's $15 in Free Merchandise plus a Level 1 Hostess exclusive set. There's no monthly commitment, you can finish your 6 months at any time! So, either pay $10 and just take the class, or spend $25 on catalog merchandise and it'll cound as one of your 6 months towards Hostess Benefits. It's your choice! RSVP, class size is limited.

Class: April Cards

Dates: Evening, Wednesday, April 13th from 7:00-9:00pm

*OR* Morning, Thursday, April 14th from 10:00am-Noon

Cost: $18 for 12 Cards

Create 3 each of 4 different cards for a total of 12! This month we'll be creating an Easter Card, 2 Spring Cards that can be used for Easter, Mother's Day, or general use (Thank You, Birthday, Thinking of You, etc.) and one very cool Birthday Card! Learn the Embedded Embossing Technique on two of the cards. (For those of you collecting technique sheets, they will be available for an additional cost at class.) Envelopes are including for those who like to stamp 'em to match. Please bring your favorite adhesives and scissors with you to class. RSVP, this class is filling fast!

Class: Card Templates

Dates: Evening, Wednesday, April 20th from 7:00-approx. 9:00pm

*OR* Morning, Thursday, April 21st from 10:00am-Noon

Cost: $18

Do you struggle when designing your own cards? Not sure what layout or colors to use? Join us as we create 8 different card templates in class. You'll receive a 'recipe' for each card (sizes, colors, etc.), as well as a card keeper sleeve so that you can start an idea file. Along the way, you'll also learn how to use the Stampin' Up! Color Coach for great color combinations! Please bring scissors, adhesives and a paper trimmer to class. RSVP, class size is limited.

April Sizzix Club

Dates: Wednesday Evening, April 27th from 7:00-9:00pm

*OR* Thursday Morning, April 28th from 10:00am-Noon

Cost: $47.00 including the Die, or $15 for Class alone

Join us for some Sizzix Fun! This month we'll be using the XL 3-D PopUp Cake Die -which you'll receive as part of your $47 class fee!- to create a beautiful Explosion Box. Basically, you're paying for the Die itself, including s/h and sales tax, and I'm offering the class to you for pennies! You'll have your choice of Bright or Subtle accent colors (think Birthday, or Baby/Wedding) Bring your BigShot Machine (or email me if you have another die-cut machine to see if it's compatible) and your long plates, scissors, adhesives and a paper trimmer to class. If you don't have long plates, you can use mine during class for a $1 addtn'l fee per person. Class fee and RSVP due no later than April 21st.

Waterfall Cards

Just wanted to remind everyone that I'm teaching a Waterfall Cards class here tomorrow night and Thursday morning. I still have a few spaces left. See previous post for the details. I'm posting a little video of one of the cards. I love the bright, fun colors, they just make me smile :) Please forgive the shakiness of the video, I really needed 3 hands to make the card move and work the webcam at the same time :)

Waterfall Cards are fun and interactive. Join us for this class where you'll start by creating a template and then you'll make 3 different Waterfall Cards. RSVP, class size is limited to 8 students.

Zentangle Cards (SU! Style) Class $18
Dates: Wednesday Evening, March 16th from 7-9pm *OR*
Thursday Morning, March 17th from 10am-Noon

Doing the Zentangle technique Stampin' Up! Style means using rubber stamps, inks, White Gel Pen and Journaling Marker to make your very unique card creations. We'll make a total of 4 cards in class and your class fee includes a brand new White Uniball Gel Pen (my absolute favorite Gel Pen!) and a Basic Black Journaling Marker. RSVP with prepayment no later than March 10th to be included in this class. Class size is limited.

March Sizzix Club $45
Dates: Wednesday Evening, March 23rd from 7-9pm *OR*
Thursday Morning, March 24th from 10am to Noon

Forget the monthly commitment, this isn't that kind of club! Each month we focus on a different Sizzix Die (or sometimes a combination of dies and papers). Purchase the product of the month and you can attend the class for Free! This month we'll be using the Sizzix Petal Cone Die and 1/2 package of the Vintage Springtime Designer Series Paper (from the current Occasions Mini Catalog) to create a "Spring" Banner. Your cost of $45 includes the Petal Cone Die and 1/2 package of DSP, I'll provide everything else you need to create your banner! RSVP with prepayment no later than March 17th to be included in this class. Please be sure to bring adhesive and scissors with you.

Paper Baskets Class $18
Dates: Wednesday Evening, March 30th from 7-9pm *OR*
Thursday Morning, March 31st from 10am-Noon

Join us as we use a variety of Sizzix Dies (including the Scallop Square, Scallop Circle, Scallop Envelope and Petal Cone Die), Embossing Folders, rubber stamps, ribbons and accessories to create 4 cute paper baskets. You'll also create a set of 3, 3x3 Mini Cards to fit into one of the baskets. These all have a spring theme making them perfect for Spring and Easter. RSVP, class size is limited.

Whew! Classes Rescheduled...

Well, yesterday morning I woke up to snow and ice still covering the street, driveway and sidewalk (in spite of the salt we put down). By Noon, most of it was gone! Now that's what I call a drastic improvement. And the Sunshine yesterday was just icing on the cake :)

I've had to reschedule two classes from the last couple of weeks. After talking with everyone who was signed up to come, it appears that we have some conflicts in schedules. I did my best but it appears we have spaces still open in both classes below.

Valentine Treats Class
Sunday, Feb. 6th from 1:00 to approx. 3:00pm
Cost: $18

You'll make 6 different decorated candy treats that can be shared for Valentine's Day! I've got some really cute goodies planned including a candy bar wrapper and a decorated test tube! Bring adhesive and scissors. Please RSVP, this class is almost full since I'm only able to hold it once. Thanks!

February Cards Class
Wednesday Evening, Feb. 9th from 7:00 to approx. 9:00pm
Cost: $18

We'll be using some fun new products for these cards that feature lots of pinks and reds. We'll make a cute little Bee out of punches, use a brand new Big Shot Die and embossing folder, and lots of stamps from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-bration Mini Catalog. Join us for a relaxing evening of stamping. I'll have stations set up and you can move around at your leisure to complete the cards. Envelopes are included so you can stamp them to match your cards. Please bring adhesive and scissors. RSVP, class size is limited.

No Power

Well, It's 9pm. Husband slid most of the way home and then back down the driveway while trying to get into the garage. Ugh! We've been watching LOTS of emergency lights in the street behind us and then all of a sudden we heard a boom and our lights went out. Thankfully we have a battery backup on our modem, but I don't know how long it's going to last.

I'm going to go ahead and postpone class for tomorrow night. Typically our electricity is out for about a day when it does go and I don't want to take a chance on not being able to get on here again tomorrow :(

We'll be hanging out by the fireplace until it comes back on.

Hi Ladies- As of right now I'm not sure whether we'll have class tomorrow or not. I'm planning on going ahead with it (getting everything prepped, etc.) Our street, driveway and sidewalks are still covered with a sheet of ice this afternoon.

So, check back tomorrow (check your email too), and I'll let you know for sure once we see how bad we get hit in the next 12-16 hours. If I do have to reschedule, I was looking at next Wednesday and Thursday for make-ups.

Hello :) I just got back from the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. We had such a great time. Stampin' Up! REALLY knows how to spoil their demonstrators :)

And, GUESS WHAT?!?! Stampin' Up! is letting me GIVE AWAY. FOR FREE! a Demonstrator Starter Kit to JUST ONE lucky person! Can you tell how excited I am?! This special opportunity was only offered to the 1,000 Leadership Attendees and I was one of them. Yay!!! This kit is what you need to get started as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Sorry for the delay on this information. Blogger has become increasingly frustrating for me to use. I did quite a bit of research on it this morning and it appears that I'm not the only one having problems. For some reason, it would not let me post ANYTHING for days now. I just kept getting a message saying the site was loading, and yet, it never quite finished :( And, I'm sorry for the way this keeps lumping everything together, but I'm not able to edit anything once I get it typed in!

Maybe Santa will bring me a new Blog for Christmas?

It's really never too early to be thinking about Christmas is it? All of the stores have Christmas items in them already, and, while I do think it's a bit early to be purchasing decorations, I don't believe it's too early to make some wonderful, hand-stamped Christmas Cards! YOU design your class by choosing the cards you want to make. You'll make TEN of each card that you choose, envelopes are included. You can make 10, 20, or 1000, it just depends on how many you want! Bring your own adhesive (and plenty of refills too, it takes a lot of glue to put together this many cards!) and bring your own scissors. All other supplies, fun, laughter, doorprizes and snacks will be included. You can come and go as you please during the times listed. If you have limited time, you can come and stamp all 10, put one together and then take the rest home to finish at your leisure! Payment is due with registration, but no later than Friday, October 29th. After that, I may not have enough supplies on hand and I won't have time to order more.

Christmas Cards are coming!

Sorry to be away so long. My mother-in-law passed away a week ago Sunday, surrounded by most of her family. Things were pretty crazy around here last week, we were the gathering spot each day and night for meals and lots of reminiscing. It was great to see everyone in the family and get to spend so much time with them, but it's sad that it took the death of someone so important to everyone to make it happen! She obviously touched a lot of lives and I'm very grateful to her for the family and friends that she gathered around her. She'll be missed, that's for sure :(

In spite of being creatively challenged lately, I think she must have been looking over my shoulder yesterday. Cards that I had been struggling with for days suddenly came together and I'm happy to say that I was able to get samples made for all of the cards I'll be offering at my Christmas Card Camp. The date is Sunday, November 7th, from 1 to approx. 6 pm. Mark your calendar and save the date. I've got a class this morning and then I'll be back on here to post pictures from that, and a couple of other classes.

Don't put off telling your loved ones how special they are to you, life is short!

Out of touch for a few days...

Some of you know that my Mother-in-law, Theresa, has struggled with Alzheimer's for the last few years. Her health has been deteriorating over the last several weeks and she took a turn for the worse yesterday. We don't expect her to live through the day. So, it doesn't look like I'll be able to post much for the next few days. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, our biggest hope and wish right now is that she remain peaceful and pain-free right up to the end. We also have a lot of family members coming in from out of town (California, Florida, New York) and we're praying for safe travels for them (My husband, Tim, is one of 7 children so it's a pretty big family!)

Do my pictures look weird to you?

I don't know what the deal is with my photos lately! For some reason they're getting chopped off when I go in to view the blog. Do they look that way to everyone? They look fine when I put them into the post and I didn't realize they looked different until I went in and looked at my blog without signing on as adminstrator...

If they look weird to you all would you let me know and I'll try to figure out what the problem is, get it fixed, and reload the pictures. Thanks!

10-4 Good Buddy!

Yes, today's 10/4 and everytime I think about that I'm reminded of a few years during my childhood when my mom and dad were BIG into CB's. I can't remember what I did last week, but I can still remember our call letters (KCD8739) that we used to identify ourselves on the radio. And I can remember our CB Handles (names) too: Dad was Red Apple because he drove a Red Chevy Van, Mom was the Avon Lady (I think you can figure that one out), my brother was Wang Fang (I don't know...), I was Crab Apple (referring both to my ever-so-sunny disposition AND the fact that I was my father's daughter), and my sister was Little Red. Ha-ha, those were some very interesting years, indeed!

But there I go again, digressing. I'm sure Wendie's out there shaking her head. Aren't ya, Wendie?!

Baltimore, MD Regional Swap Card

Well, here it is. My swap card for the Baltimore, MD Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar. I made 50 of these to swap with other SU! If the SHOE fits...

Well, Mindy has been at it again. She had a personalized stamp made that reads "If the SHOE fits..." and used it on this adorable card. It makes me laugh everytime I look at it :) And her attention to detail is beyond amazing. I notice something different everytime I look at this card!

Speaking of Mindy, I'm spending the weekend at her place in Virginia (in her new stamp room, no less!) stamping and hanging out with the girls. We're heading up to a Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Baltimore, MD in the morning. It's just one of many fabulous perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Want to hear about the rest? Fabulous Fleece Flowers

Wednesday Night's Sizzix club made a cute little bucket decorated with Leaves #2 decor elements die-cuts and then we used the Circles #2 Die and the Leaves #2, Antique Brads, a thread & needle, some hot glue, a pin back and some Polar Fleece to make these sweet little Fleece Flowers!

Aren't they cute? And so super easy! Purchase both the Circles #2 and Leaves #2 Dies this month from me for just $31.90 and I'll teach you how to make one of these flowers in a quick little one-on-one class! Email or call me to take me up on my offer :)

I feel so Wicked!

I was lucky enough to get to see Wicked on Sunday night with my little sister Mary. We had a blast before, during AND after the show. We always keep each other laughing, it was a really fun evening. The show was awesome as well and, as I was looking through my stamp room for things I hadn't shared with you yet, I came across this card. It was made by my friend, Jen Slater. Jen is a huge Wicked fan and got to see it THREE times while it was in town. Lucky girl :)

Wasn't it clever of her to only ink up and stamp the word "Wicked" from the stamp on the left? I'm assuming she did this with a Stampin' Write Marker... The card uses a couple of items I want to call attention to: Wicked Cool stamp set from page 23 in the IB&C (current Idea Book & Catalog) and the Raven 1/2" Lace Trim is in our new Holiday Mini Catalog that you can order from on September 1st. Oh WOW, that's tomorrow already, isn't it?!?! Is that even possible?

Here's a picture of my Stamping 'Helper' Riley! He was rather bored and a little irritated with me this morning when I insisted on taking his picture with a Tiara on. LOL! He looks so cute in it, but doesn't really like wearing it (Seriously, what BOY, dog or human would?). First he said "Mom, PLEASE stop taking crazy pictures of me in this tiara. Stamper's "6" Clubs now forming!

You're Invited to join a Stamper's "6" Club and take advantage of everything I listed above! What is this, you ask? Well, it's where 6 members agree to purchase a minimum of $25 in catalog merchandise each month, for 6 months. We'll get together once a month to collect orders, see some product demonstrations, and make 2 small Make & Take projects. The members will take turn being the hostess and will receive Hostess benefits for their month. Q: What if I can't make it to the meeting one month?

A: You'll still be responsible for placing an order, prior to the meeting so we can get the orders placed right away. It's not fair to your other club members if their orders are held up to wait for yours. You can contact me and place the order over the phone and either place it on a credit card or drop off a check to me.

Q: If I don't make it to a meeting, will I still get my Make & Take projects?

A: You'll receive the packet, but your projects will not be completed.

Q: What kind of snacks and drinks will I need to bring?

A: Keep it simple! Bottles of Water and chocolates or small finger foods are sufficient. Remember, we'll be busy stamping so food is not the focal point!

Q: Why do I need to place an order during my month as Hostess?

A: Because the club benefits depend on each and every member placing an order to get to the minimum workshop amount ($150 total), you won't be able to receive Hostess Benefits if you don't place an order during your hostess month.

Q: Can I get extra orders during my Hostess Month?

A: Absolutely! You can collect outside orders, OR invite others to join us for the meeting during your month. As long as they place a $25 order, they'll get to make the projects as well! Extra orders will increase your Hostess Benefits (see complete chart on page 9 of the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog).

Tropical Mini Thank You's!

These are some sweet little Thank You notes that I whipped up recently for my customer orders. I was inspired by one of the ladies in my group, Dawn Buck, who had created a wonderful ensemble of cards in a tote using the same set. I started with Old Olive 3x3 note cards (hand-cut, I can get 8 of these out of a piece of 12x12 cardstock!), and added the Palm Leaf print paper from the Island Oasis Designer Series Papers in the Summer Mini Catalog (these items are only available through August 31st!) cut to 2-7/8" square. Next I colored the Palm Tree stamp from Tropical Party Stamp Set (Summer Mini Catalog also) with Old Olive and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cut to 1-3/4" x 2-1/2". Palm Fronds from the same set were stamped in Old Olive at the bottom. Next I took a Stampin' Sponge and sponged Peach Parfait and Tempting Turquoise inks to cover up most of the white cardstock. I think this is the step that totally transformed these images and made them look like a tropical postcard! (Dawn did this to her items too, she's a genius!)

I mounted the finished image onto a piece of Old Olive Cardstock cut to 1-7/8" by 2-5/8" and glued it down to the left-hand side of the front of the card. To finish I stamped Thank You on the front right-hand side in Early Espresso ink. (Thank You is from the set Curly Cute from the current catalog). These little notes fit into our 3x3 envelopes (which, of course, I also stamped :)) These are perfect for little tuck-in notes, but alas, the Post Office will NOT deliver them... Just so ya know!

Now that school is back in session and the air is beginning to turn cooler, it's time to spend some "ME" time! Join us for one of my most popular monthly card classes, September Cards. In this class you'll create 3 each of 4 different designs for a total of 12 Cards. We'll use some new stamp sets and lots of new accessories! Hi Ladies- It's June 1st already, and as promised, here is the master list of my June classes. I'll be adding more info about most of them so check back. Inchie Nameplate & Mini Collage

The Inchie fun continues as we create a Nameplate and a Summer-Themed (did someone say flowers?) Mini Collage using the Sizzix Bigshot and lots of fun stamps on 1" square blanks. You'll be able to choose your own colors for the nameplate, or follow my example to make things easier. Then we'll create approx. 12-16 1" tiles to place on a sweet little Mini Collage. Please bring scissors, adhesives and dimensionals (optional) to class. RSVP early, this class size is limited to 6 people per session.

Tropical Mini Album Class
Date: Wednesday, June 23rd from 7:00 to approx. 9pm (Thursday morning class may be scheduled by request only)

Don't miss this encore request! This Tropical-Themed Mini Album is perfect for all those tropical or luau pictures! Don't have any laying around? Plan a vacation around the album, it's a perfectly normal thing to do :) This sweet little album measures approximately 4.5" square and is made up of 8 acrylic, scalloped square pages. We'll make the album from start-to-finish, doing everything from cutting the pages to hand crafting die cut flowers and leaves to give them depth and dimension! When complete, your album will hold approx. 14 wallet size -or smaller- sized photos and a small amount of journaling for each. Makes a great gift! Please bring with you to class: Scissors, your favorite adhesives, and (optional) bone folder, paper piercer, white gel pen and blender pen. Happy B-Day Cards Class

In this class we'll use approx. 1/2 of the Happy B-Day Simply Scrappin' Kit (pg 166, top, in the current Idea Book & Catalog) to make a bright, cheery set of 8 Birthday Cards. In addition, we'll use the Sizzix Bigshot and various birthday stamps to complete the cards. In colors such as Ruby Red, Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery and Crushed Curry, these cards will work for boys or girls, men or women! This kit was unanimously chosen by my Thursday morning card class last month! Everything will be cut and ready for you to assemble, envelopes are included. Please RSVP, along with payment for class, as soon as you can. This item is being retired by Stampin' Up! at the end of the month and I want to make sure I can get enough product for everyone's kits. Also, If you think you'd like to make more of these cards later on, I highly suggest ordering your Simply Scrappin' kit(s) as early in the month as possible to avoid disappointment! I'll be wearing mine during class.) We'll make the inchies shown above, and then make those into 5 cards. You'll also receive another 15 blank inchies to play with before you go (or take them home if you'd like) and a template sheet with ideas for 1/2 dozen inchie cards to take home. Whew, the kids just left and I just didn't want to miss a single moment with them while they were here. For those of you who don't know, here's the history...

My oldest son is in the Air Force and he, and his wife and son have been stationed out in Hawaii for the last 3 years. This makes for one unhappy Grandma that didn't get to spend nearly enough time with my grandson (or the kids either, for that matter!)

On February 1st, my son reported for tech school in Biloxi, MS and my daughter-in-law and grandson reported here, to Ohio, to spend some much needed catch-up time with all of us. They ended up spending a lot of time here, but they left on April 19th to report to his next duty station in Nebraska. It was a whirlwind at the end, especially those last four days when my son was home too. Now they're gone though, and it's time to get back to business. I've got lots of classes cooking (so to speak...)

Did you know that rainy days make great creative days? I plan to take full advantage of the rain today and stamp, stamp, stamp! Hopefully you can do something creative too!

April Card Class Info...

Sorry that I've been MIA for the last couple of weeks. It wasn't intentional, but I had to squeeze in every moment I could with my Grandson. They'll be leaving on Monday to head out to Nebraska. I know that's not quite as far away as Hawaii, but it's still not going to be the same as having him right here...

SCC2 Elements of Style Card

Here's my first card of the week with the colors from yesterday's color challenge. I really like how 'Spring-y' the colors are :) The second picture above shows a little of the depth behind the phrase where I used the Stampin' Dimensionals. The background was created by using markers directly onto the stamp; Certainly Celery vines, Real Red flowers and So Saffron flower centers. I stamped it randomly all over the front, then I cleaned off my stamp and inked it up with Bashful Blue, stamped it off once and then continued to stamp all over the background again. The ribbon got a little lost so I wrapped it around the card twice to make it stand out a little better.

The stamp set used is one that we were given at Leadership in January. It's called Elements of Style and it'll be available for purchase beginning May 1st. I really love it. The phrase is a little hard to read in this picture, but it says "Life is a matter of moments". Sweet, eh?

Sunday Color Challenge #2

Guess what I did yesterday? I stopped in at Old Navy and purchased 5 new pair of flip-flops. So, Mother Nature... If you're listening, my toes are now ready for warm weather. Got it? Good! Ha, ha!

I had such a great time playing with last week's colors, so I decided to go ahead and do it again this week! I was inspired by some yarn that I'm knitting into a dishcloth right now. It actually has Red, White, Yellow and Kraft fibers in it. I wanted a little bit more variety so I added Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery ( 'cause you KNOW how I love Certainly Celery! :) And, c'mon, you *know* you want to play along. In case you were wondering, I've been able to put together the pictures for my color challenges using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio software. I absolutely love this software!!! I also use it for my blog headers. Hmmmmm, speaking of which, I think I'm due for a new one and this week's Color Challenge colors would be SO 'Me'!

There are so many things that can be done with this software and I've been thinking about putting together some classes on how to scrapbook and put together other projects with it. Do me a favor? Would you let me know if that's something that interests you? Thanks!

Happy Saturday! Well, my husband decided to take yesterday off and, since my youngest was on Spring Break this past week, we spent the day with him. Took him out to lunch and then basically ran errands and took care of doctor's appointments the rest of the day. Oh, and we got Riley bathed and shaved. He must like it because he's been practically prancing around here ever since we got him home last night. He looks so cute! I got before and after pictures and I'm planning on doing a "Hairy to Handsome" page. Sad that I'm planning pages for the dog's photos and I'm still way behind on the kids. Don't you think? :) Oh, and don't think I didn't have to fight for every picture. The dog is as bad as the kids... they all HATE having their picture taken by the 'Mom-arazzi"!

So today's project is a little matchbook that holds a clippy made with my extra Beautiful Wings butterflies. In the first picture you can see it closed, and the envelope it fits into is the 3x3 envelope from Stampin' Up! (Love these, they're great for little gift enclosures!). Second picture shows the matchbook open with the clip positioned inside. And, the third picture better shows you what the clip looks like. Basically it's just a large paper clip, decorated so that it can brighten someone's day :)
